After falling short of 250 in Ranchi, India bounced back in style to take a 2-1 lead in the T20I series with a 14-run win over West Indies in the fourth T20I at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday. India made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Prince Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy in place of Shivam Dube and Kuldeep Yadav, and both selections paid dividends.

Nitish dismissed Quentin Sampson just as the West Indies batting struggled to pick up pace, while Prince pounced with precision at the death overs, giving very little to the Caribbean batsmen. Arshdeep Singh also contributed significantly, taking three wickets as India put up a much better bowling performance compared to the Ranchi encounter.

Defending a target of 223, India restricted West Indies to 203 to seal victory. The Holkar Stadium offered excellent batting conditions, but unlike Ranchi, the Indian bowlers did not allow the opposition to dictate the conditions. The Indians’ disciplined effort also ended a streak of five consecutive matches in the white-ball campaign in which the chasing team emerged victorious, giving Indore an important series turnaround.
