Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his greetings on the occasion of Navratri and wished that the divine grace of Goddess Durga brings happiness, peace, prosperity and good health to all.
Navratri is a nine-day Hindu festival held in honor of the divine feminine.
“I cordially greet all countrymen on the grand festival of Shakti-Sadhana, Navratri. By the grace of Mother Jagdamba, may happiness, peace, prosperity and good health dwell in everyone’s life, further strengthening the resolve for the unity and progress of the nation,” Mr Modi said in a post on ‘X’ in Hindi.
At the beginning of Navratri, we pay obeisance at the feet of Mother Shailputri, the presiding deity of peace. May his divine grace kindle the lamp of patience and trust in everyone’s mind. It is my wish that the blessings of the Mother always remain on the compatriots. https://t.co/z4ktFiTagZ

At the start of Navratri, the Prime Minister also paid obeisance to Goddess Shailputri, the presiding deity of peace.
“May the lamp of patience and self-confidence shine in everyone’s heart by her divine grace. I pray that the blessings of the Mother always remain with all our countrymen,” he said in another post.
Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine forms, each symbolizing different qualities such as strength, wisdom, courage, devotion and protection.
The festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
