
In what appears to be a shocking incident, a vegetable dealer was buried in the Baradari area after the cleaning sewer workers unknowingly threw a lot of sludge on him while slept under a tree near the cemetery, Bareilly Police said on Saturday.
After the victim’s father filed a complaint, the SSP Anurag Arya said that the Baradari police station was filed against the accused civil staff, the PTI reported.
What did the police say?
According to the police, 45 -year -old Sunil Kumar Prajapati of Shantipur, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, rested under a tree near his house on Thursday afternoon, when a team of civil workers led by Naem, threw an officer.
The person who navigates the tractor apparently did not see Prajapati, the officer added.
After some time, his son was discovered by his father buried under the sludge and with the use of local residents he managed to pull him out. Prajapati was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
The Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Muurya said that orders were issued to initiate an incident investigation.
Other related incidents
Two female workers died in a separate incident on May 23, 2025, and the other two were injured when a pile of soil collapsed during the kick -off in the basement at the old railway station Faridabad. The incident occurred while the workers rested near the point of the excavation. Preliminary investigations revealed violations of safety regulations, Toi reported.
Previously, two contract workers were buried alive under the hill of the country, which collapsed at them in the metal factory in the Changal area in West Bengal 19, April, said toi.
