Program of the French Open Day 5: Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka strive for more dominance

Day five of the 2026 French Open brings a packed lineup at Roland Garros that includes top seeds, big name clashes and Indian participation in doubles and mixed doubles. On Court Philippe-Chatrier, world number one Jannik Sinner will face Juan Manuel Cerundol in his second round match after a dominant opening win over Clement Tabur.

In the women’s draw, Aryna Sabalenkova continues her campaign after a confident straight sets opening round victory and now meets France’s Elsa Jacquemot. Ann Li plays Diane Parry while Arthur Rinderknech meets Matteo Berrettini in the match of the night.

Court Suzanne-Lenglen features Coco Gauff against Mayar Sherif, Amanda Anisimova against Julia Grabher, Zizou Bergs against Ben Shelton and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo against Mose Kouame.

On Court Simonne-Mathieu, Naomi Osaka plays Donna Vekic, Francisco Cerundolo meets Hugo Gaston, Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on Roman Andres Burruchaga and Victoria Mboko takes on Kateřina Siniakova.

India’s interest continues in the doubles. Anirudh Chandrasekar partners Takeru Yuzuki in the men’s doubles against Jakub Paul and Marcus Willis on Court 2. In the mixed doubles on Court 5, Yuki Bhambri teams up with Alexandra Pan against Lyudmyla Kichenok and David Pel. Bhambri, after a strong win in the opening round of the men’s doubles, will be looking to take his momentum forward.
