Assault on a child: the child rights panel registers the case

The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken suo motu cognizance of the alleged assault of a six-year-old girl by her mother. The incident took place at Udiyankulangara near Neyyattinkara,

The commission sought details from the Parassala Station House Officer and the District Child Welfare Officer following media reports that the child was beaten up after she deleted WhatsApp from her mother’s phone. Parassala said they have registered an FIR but the mother has not been arrested yet.
