Members of the Children’s Rights have referred to the government to release the budget for Sisha Gruss and Bala Sadans waiting for the last few months in the state.
Children staying in Bala Sadans and infants who were referred to by government, Sisha Grussi suffered because the funds have not been sanctioned in the last six months, said James Phillip activist.
According to sources, there are about 46 Bala Sadans (children’s homes) and 26 Sishu Gruss (specialized adoptive agencies).
Saved victims of children’s work and marriage of children and victims in cases of POCSO (protection of children from sexual offenses) are produced by the police, revenue and officials of the Ministry of Labor from Children ‘Care (CWCS), which then refer to children at Bala Sadans.
Infants rescued at bus and railway stations, abandoned places, orphans and away from children are referred to by Sisha Gruss.
“More than 500 children remain in the government Sishu Grussi and Bala Sadans in AP, but the budget has not been sanctioned in their homes in the last six months,” said the district officer for the protection of children (DCPO).
Government sanctions 2,500 GBP per month for each child staying in Sishhu Gruss and 3,000 GBP per month for children referred to by Bala Sadans.
“Because there are no funds, we could not follow the menu and buy medicines for children,” said Bala Sadan supervisor.
On Thursday, in an interview with Hindu, the main secretary, the development of women and childcare, A. Surya Kumari said that the budget for all Sisha Gruss and Bala Sadans sanction.
“We sent suggestions for the budget of the first quarter, which will soon be published,” said Mrs. Surya Kumari.
