Authorities at the National Technology Institute of Calicut (Nit-C) decided to give up a fine of 6.61 Lakh, anyone who was stored on five students last year after their protest against restrictions on nightlife on the premises.
The order for this purpose was issued on 21 May by the Dean of Students. It is reportedly based on the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee “Considering potential damage that one could cause the future of students”.
