South Africa vs Australia 1st Test Day 1: Current Scores and Updates from Durban

12:51 PM IST:

Let’s hear from the other camp – Alex Carey says the build-up has been good and they also played an ODI here in Durban a few days ago and he’s excited about this Test series. He then talks about the pitch, says it looks good and generally tries to stay positive about the pitch and hopes there are runs in this deck. On the squad changes, Carey says that with Cameron Green out injured, things change and it’s been 10 years since Nic Maddison has played and he’s matured in those years and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that whoever comes into the squad makes a positive impact. Carey goes on to talk a little more about Nico, mentioning that it’s all about what you do when life throws you curveballs, and she has huge respect for Nico, and it’s no surprise that he’s in baggy green. Carey finishes by saying it’s an early start and everyone was excited to be on the early bus, apart from Nathan Lyon, hoping it would be a fantastic series.
