DE Shaw India, part of the global investment and technology company DE Shaw group, plans to open a 600 sq m workspace in Neopolis here next year.
The office will create more opportunities for employees to work across teams, exchange ideas and solve problems, while strengthening a long-term commitment to Hyderabad and India, DE Shaw India said on Wednesday after IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu attended an event to mark 30 years in the country.
The firm has been part of the city’s landscape for three decades and the new office is a welcome sign of its continued confidence in Hyderabad, the minister said.
DE Shaw India opened its first office in Hyderabad in 1996 with 20 people and expanded to Bengaluru and Gurugram in 2023. It now has 2,500 people in all three cities. The company offers careers in technology, financial research, financial operations and corporate functions and is hiring at all experience levels.
“Investment and technology have changed dramatically over 30 years, and the rigor and skills our colleagues at DE Shaw India have brought to the firm have helped us stay ahead of the curve,” said Eddie Fishman, managing director and member of the executive committee.
“The new office represents the next chapter of our growth in the country,” said Chaitanya Gorrepati, Managing Director and Member of the Operations Committee, DE Shaw India.
