
The Suzuki India’s two -wheel motorcycle manufacturer laid the foundation stone of production equipment in Haryana’s Kharplay, which will be developed on an initial investment of 1,200 GBP Crore.
The new production plant, located in the industrial district of Kharkod HsiIDC Industrial Township and spreads to 100 acres of soil, with a capacity for the production of 7.5 lamps per year, is part of a company strategy that would meet growing domestic demand and support local development and creation, said.
The plant is scheduled to start operations in 2027, which further increases the production capabilities of Smiph in India, the company said.
Once functional, it will provide a job of approximately 2,000 people, Smiple said, adding that the Green Pole facility increases industrial infrastructure, attracts global investment, and creates employment in the region.
“By establishing our facility in IMT Kharko, we look forward to contributing to the development of the region, the production of employment and to support the vision of the government for industrial progress,” said Kenichi Useda, CEO of Suzuki Motorcycle India PVT Ltd.
Paraly, the Kharkaho Race will help SMPIL to better serve their customers, support its partners sellers and strengthen cooperation with suppliers, he said.
“The basic concept of this race is Lean production. It will also include modern automation and energy efficiency systems that will help us move to a global Suzuki vision for carbon neutrality and sustainability,” he added.
