Yellareddypet man ‘stuck’ in Russian-Ukrainian war zone: Investigations intensify into alleged cheating by Sircilla-based foreign agent
The Yellareddypet police have intensified investigations into a cheating case against a Sircilla-based foreign agent, even as Rakshita, wife of 30-year-old D. Kishan of Narayanpur village in Rajanna Sircilla district, is seeking the repatriation of her husband, who is allegedly “stuck” in a war zone in Russia.
Rakshita filed a complaint on Monday, alleging that the agent cheated her husband when he promised to give him a job in Russia.
Kishan’s family alleged that the agent collected ₹2.50 lakh from him and recently sent him to Russia where he promised him a job.
However, Kishan reportedly ended up in a war zone and was allegedly forced to fight, they said.
In addition to strict action against those found responsible, the villagers sought a thorough investigation into the alleged illegal overseas recruitment and possible human trafficking.
