Police of Shivamogg Lokayukta arrested a medical officer in Shikaripur and received a cliff of 10,000 GBP to publish a message on Tuesday after the mortem.
Police inspector Lokayukta, Gururaj NM, and his employees imprisoned and arrested Gopal Gopal G. Harigi, who worked at the Shikaripur government hospital. The event followed the complaints of Sunil from Kapanahali in Shikaripur Taluk.
The doctor demanded a bribe of 20,000 GBP to give the postmort Sathish Manchi of Shikaripur Taluk, who recently died.
His family members were not willing to give money. Sunil, a close associate of the family, filed a complaint against Lokayukta.
Police imprisoned him on Tuesday at the receipt of 10,000 GBP in their office, a press release issued by police director Lokayukta Manjunath Chowdhari M.
