TELANGANA and TGPWU staff (TGPWU) required more guarantees for workers, including fixed minimum payments and greater responsibility from aggregators and platform companies, looking for specific recommendations in the bill for concert staff.
The state government published a proposal for a TELANGANA concert and a platform staff (registration, social security and well -being), 2025.
The Union raised concerns about the lack of transparency in algorithmic systems that determine key aspects such as driving allocation and fare structures for workers. “Although we are glad that the bill has been ciruled, we are particularly concerned about the algorithms used to determine driving, payouts and other aspects of work. The vast majority of workers do not understand how these systems work,” said TGPWU offering Shaik Salauddin.
“An important aspect we are looking for is greater clarity and responsibility by aggregators. We also want to include minimal reward. This should take into account the waiting time, the cost of fuel that escalated for some time and distance,” he said.
The Union was also looking for compulsory registration of all workers in the deck phase and transparency in algorithmic systems.
The trade unions called on the removal of the term “primary employer” and claimed to create ambiguity, smear the difference between it and the aggregator.
Protection of workers from sexual harassment is another important problem that has been sought. TGPWU recommended that the law on preventing sexual harassment should be integrated into the bill. The Union stated that the bill in its current form is unclear whether workers would be protected from sexual harassment.
Mr Salauddin said that their proposals received support from parliamentary MP Hyderabad Assaduddin Owaisi, who is now a member of a parliamentary delegation who will travel abroad to submit to the international struggle against the terrorism of the international community.
In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Owaisi approved the recommendations of workers and noted that they would contribute meaningfully to strengthening the rights, well -being and social security of workers in Telangana. We also recommend mechanisms for compensation of disputes, including the provisions on the appeal before the civil servant.
