Crew missing after ship sinks in Bulgaria’s Black Sea zone following drone attack, PM says | Today’s news
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said on Tuesday (local time) that the crew of a ship that sank after a drone attack in the country’s Black Sea zone was missing, Reuters reported.
His remarks came shortly after local media reported that drones had struck two commercial vessels in the Black Sea off the coast of Bulgaria, sinking one of the vessels. Rumen Nikolov, head of local rescue operations in Varna, was quoted as saying that while sailors from the sunken ship were missing, those from the other ship had been rescued, AFP reported.
Rescue teams searched for the missing sailors about 150 kilometers (90 miles) east of the coastal town of Byala.
This is a developing story. Further details were awaited.
