Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that ₹59.67 crore has been sanctioned for upgrading nine government schools in Madhira Assembly constituency and converting them into model schools with necessary infrastructure and facilities.

On Sunday, he chaired a review meeting with officials at Jamalapuram village in Yerrupalem mandal in Khammam district. Mr. Vikramarka directed them to speed up the infrastructure work of the school and make the facilities available to the students as soon as possible.

He also directed officials to provide skill development training in various self-employment activities to around 10,000 women under the Urban Poverty Alleviation Mission (MEPMA) in Madhira town. Such demand-based skill initiatives would help women become financially self-sufficient, he said.
