Special trains between Mysuru and Rameswaram for Dasara, Deepavali

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Dasara, Deepavali and Chhath festival season, South Western Railway (SWR) will run weekly special trains between Mysuru and Rameswaram with nine journeys in each direction.

Train No. 06263 Mysuru–Rameswaram Weekly Express Special departs Mysuru at 6:35 PM every Monday from October 5 to November 30 and arrives Rameswaram at 11:00 AM the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 06264 Rameswaram–Mysuru Weekly Express Special will depart Rameswaram at 3:30 PM every Tuesday from October 6 to December 1 and arrive Mysuru at 7:45 AM the following day.

The trains will halt at Mandya, Ramanagaram, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Manamadurai, Paramakkudi and Ramanathapuram in both directions, a press release said.

The special trains will consist of 21 coaches – two double-row AC, five three-row AC, eight sleeper class, four general second class, one brake/baggage/generator car and one second-class brake freight car with Divyangjan equipment.
