Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (October 3, 2026) launched a digital platform ‘Satyagraha’ to map the resistance movement across the country.

This comes at a time when opposition leaders, civil society and youth-led organizations continue their protests in various parts of the country demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged discrepancies in the processing of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

People across the country are fighting for their rights — and often alone. Gen Z, students, farmers, tribals, Dalits, women – every struggle has its own story. But the voice that rises alone is often stifled. “Satyagraha” is an initiative to bring these voices together on one map. This is what Bapu taught – Truth is the greatest weapon. But an even greater weapon is to stand at one with the truth. If you too struggle with injustice – send your story. It will take two minutes. Your story will appear on the map. You will see who else is fighting like you. And I will do what I can – in Parliament, on the streets, by writing letters, by standing with you wherever I am needed – that is my responsibility as Leader of the Opposition. What is a ‘Satyagraha website?’

In a post on X announcing the initiative, Mr Gandhi said people across the country are fighting for their rights and “too often they are fighting alone”. He then listed Gen Z, students, farmers, Adivasis, Dalits and women among those who participated in various struggles.

“Satyagraha” is an initiative to bring these voices together on one map, the Congress leader added.

Mr Gandhi said in a video posted on his social media that “the truth has been suppressed” and that as the leader of the opposition it was his responsibility to help resist it. He later said that the ‘Satyagraha’ platform received more than 10,000 responses in nine hours after it was launched. “So many battles are already being fought by Indians – silently, convinced that no one was listening. We are listening. Every post will be read,” he added.

Satyagraha was broadcast 9 hours ago. Since then, more than 10,000 people and groups have signed up. Indians are already fighting so many battles – quietly, convinced that no one is listening. We are listening. Every post will be read. We are already seeing stories on education, corruption, social justice, farmers, labour, health, women’s safety, land and environment. Our team will go through each one, find out how we can help and reach out where more details are needed. Where any real fight needs to be stepped up to be resolved, we will. This is just the beginning. Satyagraha is not a one-day campaign. It will run for years and stand up to any andolan, big or small. Thank you for speaking up and standing up for the Constitution. If not yet, tell me your story 👉 https://t.co/hJ8iARr5La
