The Sangh Parivar Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Business Union boycotted the first meeting of trade union leaders of the Member States for cooperation in Shanghai (SCO) in Beijing on Thursday and Friday and 16 May 2025). Karumalaiyan said that the SCO meeting was not about India or Pakistan, but about workers. “We took part in the meeting based on our understanding of proletarian internationalism. Our representative Swadesh Debroy at the meeting raised issues of Indian workers,” he said.
