Police of the special investigation team (SIT) arrested officer IAS and former secretary in CMO K. Dhanunjaya Reddy and officer in a special service (OSD) P. Krish Mohan Reddy in alleged fraud of liqueur.
Sit officials questioned Mr. Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishno Mohan Reddy for three days before announcing their arrests on Friday.
It was argued that some leaders and bureaucrats of the Congress Party introduced a new distillery policy created in the Syndicate, gathered a huge number of some of Lihovar’s companies, and reportedly gathered a huge amount.
The accused caused more than 3,000 GBP between 2019 and 2024, the police said.
The police, which launched a thorough probe into multi -crrore fraud, was challenged by Rajamplet MP PV Midhun Reddy, former member of Rajya Sabha V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and several others. Then the Government Government advisors were arrested by Kessireddy Raja Sekhar Reddy, director of Bharati Cements Balaji Govindappa and several others so far.
Investigators grilled Mr. Dhanunjay Reddy and Mr. Krishna Mohan Reddy on Thursday about 12 hours and after daily questioning the police announced that the accused were arrested under fraud.
SIT officials reportedly asked about the new liqueur policy, the secret agreement between Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL), other officers and leaders of YSRCP, hovering new brands of spirits.
The police, who took the mobile phones from Dhanunjaya Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy, asked their contacts before their arrest.
Given that the Supreme Court rejected its predictive proposals on bail on Friday, the SIT arrested the defendant and will be produced in a special court against the Corruption Office (ACB) in Vijayawada, Hindi policeman said.
