Minister of Forest Eshwar B. Khandre will visit the village inside the Sanctuary of Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctua on Saturday to facilitate the voluntary relocation of the population to protected areas.
In the first step, it will distribute controls for 10 lakh to the family to 27 families in the village of Gawali near Talewadi inside the shrine.
After completely relocation, they will be given another £ 5.
Mr. Khandre said he met the inhabitants when he visited Belagavi during the winter meeting. Families complained that they were isolated and live without infrastructure and equipment and expressed a desire to move out.
“They also lived under the constant threat of meeting wild animals. We make their movement easier from the shrine,” he said.
He issued orders to the forest department and officials of Panchayat Raj to organize a gram of Sabhas, adopted a resolution on voluntary displacement and approve the payment of motivation.
“This will achieve the purposes of integrating forest residents into the mainstream and ensuring proper preservation of the shrine,” the minister said.
Forest residents suffer from lack of roads, energy and water supply and basic medical care. Voluntary relocation of Gawali is an important step forward and similar efforts will be spent in the remaining forest settlements, the Minister said in the edition.
