The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told Karnataka State Policy and the Planning Commission and the State Committee of Karnataka decentralized Planning and Development Committee in order to preliminary budget meetings to present the recommendations of the Taluk and District planning committees.
The main minister chaired the meetings of both bodies and stated that the planning committees at the level of Taluk and the districts must be strengthened to further seize the Panchayat Raj system and formulate systems according to people’s requirements.
The elections are not held
District Planning Committees (DCP) and Taluk Planning Committees (TPC) have obviously become ineffective, because the elections were not for Zilla and Taluk Panchayats. Currently, it chairs the ministers of charging the district of the meetings of these committees.
Mr Siddarahaiah said he announced in the state budget for 2023-24 that mapping of liability must be made regarding the functioning of Panchayat Raj according to 73. Changes in the Constitution.
Mapping of liability

The main minister ordered officials to complete the mapping of the responsibility of all departments by August 15. He ordered officials to submit a proposal for the decision on income and decisions of Panchayat Raj to rework villages and determine the borders. He also ordered officials to submit proposals for the establishment of a land bank to develop infrastructure for urban and rural local authorities.
