How India won a bronze medal in sailing after finishing fourth at the Asian Games
Harshita Tomar and Shital Verma (Photo Reuters) India’s Harshita Tomar and Shital Verma finished fourth in the women’s scull at the Asian Games on Thursday. However, they ended up with the bronze medal after the Chinese pair, who finished third, were disqualified.The Indian pair won the bronze at the Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor in Aichi, Japan after China’s Xiaoyu Hu and Yuyue Sun were disqualified.

India moved up to third place
Japan finished top of the table with 14 net points, while Hong Kong, China was second with 18 points.India finished the competition with 24 net points and 28 total points, initially ranked fourth.China was third with 28 net points and 33 total points.But the Chinese pair were disqualified, moving India to third place and handing the bronze medal to Tomar and Verma.Japan won gold, Hong Kong won silver and India won bronze.
