ICC ODI World Cup 2027 Schedule Live Updates: World Cup begins with India-Australia blockbuster; IND vs PAK October 10 – The Tech Word News

ICC ODI World Cup 2027 Schedule Live Updates: The International Cricket Council (ICC) will reveal the ODI World Cup 2027 schedule in Cape Town on Thursday, October 1. The event will mark a one-year countdown to the tournament and will also release match tickets.

The FIFA World Cup will start on October 2 next year and end on November 21, 2027.

Ten of the 14 teams that will take part in the tournament have secured their spots by the September 30 qualification deadline. Hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe received automatic berths, while eight teams qualified based on the ICC ODI rankings.

Namibia is also a co-host but does not automatically qualify as it is not a full member of the ICC.

India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will join South Africa and Zimbabwe in the tournament. The remaining four spots will be decided through qualifiers due to take place early next year.

Two-time champions West Indies will also have to go through the qualifying route to ensure their place in next year’s World Cup.
