Khadi Santha will be held in the city

BJP district president MMN Parusurama Raju said the ‘Khadi Santha’ (Khadi Fair) will be held on October 2 and 3 as part of the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life and commemorating Gandhi Jayanti. Khadi Santha will be held at Sri Karaka Chettu Polamamba Kalyana Mandapam.

Releasing the poster of the fair at a media conference on Wednesday, Mr. Parasurama Raju said that the fair is being organized to create public awareness about the concepts envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi like ‘Swachh Bharat’ and handloom.

He urged all citizens to use indigenous products in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Independent India). He urged everyone to stand in support of the artisans and promote the slogan ‘Swadeshi in every home’.

He said the event is being organized with the motto, “Let’s embrace homegrown products – build a self-sufficient India.”
