Domestic prices of LPG, petrol and diesel remain unchanged

While the price of commercial LPG cylinders was reportedly increased on October 1, the cost of domestic LPG prices (4.2 kg cylinders) remains the same. Here are the current prices as per Indian Oil website:

Cooking gas prices have increased by ₹89 per cylinder from March to June after the crisis in West Asia led to supply disruptions and a sharp rise in international energy prices.

Gasoline and diesel prices, which were raised by approx ₹7.50 per liter in May also remained unchanged.

ATF prices are rising

According to PTI, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have increased by around 50%. ₹16 from ₹121 per litre ₹137 per liter. ATF prices have been increased to ₹137 per liter from ₹121 for domestic airlines, according to oil companies.

The latest revision comes after ATF prices were hiked by ₹6.28 per liter or 5.46 percent in September after a ₹5 per liter increase in August. ATF accounts for up to 40 percent of airlines’ operating costs, making fuel prices a key cost factor for carriers.

The latest changes are based on movements in international benchmark prices and the rupee to dollar exchange rate. ATF and LPG prices are revised on the first day of every month and may vary from state to state due to local taxes such as VAT.
