Who is eligible for Trump’s $500 ACA refund?

Payments are primarily aimed at ACA enrollees who:

-You purchased health insurance through the ACA’s federal marketplace, HealthCare.gov.

-You paid full premium price instead of receiving federal premium assistance.

-Live in one of the 30 states using the federal exchange.

-They were among the consumers identified by the administration as affected by the applicable interchange fees.

Most recipients make around 400% of the federal poverty level, according to the White House. That’s roughly $64,000 for an individual or $132,000 for a family of four, based on data cited by the administration.

The reimbursement amount is $500 per eligible person, which means households with more than one eligible participant can receive multiple payments.

Importantly, eligible people do not have to apply for a refund. The administration has already determined the recipient.

Why aren’t all 50 states included?
