The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) demanded that the central government of Bharatiya Janat (BJP) convened a special meeting of parliament to explain people to people about the terrorist attack of Pahalgam and the consequence, including the Sindoor operation.
The Secretary General of CPI (M) Ma Baby said the 26 innocents were murdered in Pahalgam in Pahalgam, but the government could not capture any of the terrorists involved in the terrible incident despite the claims that several steps were launched. After the operation of all parties of Sindoor with the Minister of Defense of the Union Rajnath Singh, the government called the government and said the purpose of the operation was fulfilled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the nation and appreciated the armed forces for their achievements. “But he (Mr. Modi) has not explained many questions. Mr. Modi may have reserved them,” he said at a press conference in Hyderabad on Wednesday (May 14, 2025).
He was wondering how US President Donald Trump reported the decision of the ceasefire before the government announcement. The announcement came to the attitude of the country against the intervention of third parties in matters concerning Indian relations with neighbors such as Pakistan and other countries. “American vice president JD Vance said that the US would not interfere with geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan the day before. What paved the path to the US President to make a statement?” Mr. Baby asked.
He claimed that the government owed an explanation and should be made through the floor of parliament so people know it. “Mr. Modi can discuss with his cabinet colleagues and fix the date of a special session. Many questions should be answered on the floor of the house and the opposition can look for clarification if a statement is made in parliament,” he said.
He recommended that the Center intensified diplomatic efforts in the light of the ceasefire to convince Pakistan against the support of terrorist activities. The pressure should be mounted on a neighboring country through various sources in this direction.
The Secretary General of CPI (M) warned people of certain forces who tried to look for communal polarization through the unfortunate. He expressed concern that Mr. Modi did not participate in meetings of all parties convened by the Center after Pahalgam. “He preferred to deal with the political assembly in Bihar rather than attending the first meeting of all parties. He participated in the second, even though he was in the capital of the national city,” he said.
Asked about the Indian block, he said that parties that represent an Indian block will have discussions as soon as necessary. “Several states are heading for the elections in the coming days. We will have discussions depending on the state of a specific situation in the relevant countries,” he said.
