Several women who have become the victims of the cooling case of blackmail and sexual assault in Pollach would be reluctant to file complaints in the case of, but for the Central Investigation Team team (CBI), including its prosecutor. Over time, they managed to gain the trust of the survivors.
Initially, the local police failed to protect the identity of the first complainant in the case after which the other victims hesitated to speak of a crime. After the case was transferred to the CBI, V. Surendra Mohan was appointed a special prosecutor for the Agency for Judicial Proceedings 9 January 2023. The court was initiated on February 24, 2023.
After the first complainant turned to the police, none of the women signed up to testify against the accused in the initial period of investigation. The CB-CID, which took over the probe from the local police for a short time, also launched a special help line that has received complaints and other evidence that could help the investigation.
“The survivors initially hesitated to sign up.
When the survivors were identified, many hesitated to log in. The CBI team took the time to arouse confidence in it, which eventually resulted in the deposit of eight survivors (including the first complainant), he said. Initially, the survivors also feared that their identity would be revealed during the court proceedings. However, the CBI team took care of the protection of the survivors in the production before the court court.

In its judgment, the court stated that a prosecutor who is a male officer effectively fulfilled his obligations in carrying out court proceedings with such a sensitive case. He praised him for performing a fair court proceedings by providing the best available evidence and also for providing valuable assistance to the court in achieving a fair and proper decision of the case.
