In Walaiah, Ranipet, a 43 -year -old private financier was arrested in Walajah in Ranipet for killing Sri Lanka over a financial dispute on Tuesday.
The police said the accused was identified as S. Kameesh, a native of Walaiah. Was involved in lending money. The initial investigation revealed that Kameesh met the victim of K. Chandini, 42, Sri Lankan Tamil as she worked at the Anaict in Vellore a few years ago. After separating from her husband, she supported her two children by working at the hotel.
The police said Kameesh used it regularly and also helped her with money during emergencies over the years. On Tuesday, an argument broke out between them when Chandini demanded money for her son’s marriage.
In a bout of rage, Kameesh stabbed Chandini in her house near Walaiah. It was found lying in a pool of blood. When her children called for help, the neighbors threw themselves into the house and alerted the police Walajah. She was taken to the Taluk Government Hospital in Walaiah, where doctors declared dead on arrival. A case was registered. Later, the police arrested Kameesh, which was deposited in the middle prison in Vellore. The probe is running.
