
The production of wind energy, which peaks between June and October every year in Tamil Nadu, began to pick up in the state and is expected to stabilize in the coming weeks.
Tamil Nadu consumed 61.13 million units of wind energy on Tuesday 12 May, according to data available at Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation.

According to Ajay Devaraj, General Secretary of the Association, Tamil Nadu added installed wind energy capacity between April 2024 and March 2025, with more than 11,700 MW installed capacity. “We expect the generation to stabilize and culminate since the last of the May or first week of June, because it is expected that the southern western winds will cross Kerala 27 May,” he said.
