Asian Games 2026 Live Sep 30: India start day with golf, medals in shooting, boxing

Asian Games action continues in full swing on September 30, with India in for another busy day across multiple disciplines. With the medal rounds and semi-final spots up for grabs, we will focus on the athletes looking to strengthen India’s position on the medal table.

Boxing will be one of the main attractions, with Lovlina Borgohain taking on Kazakhstan’s Natalya Bogdanova in the women’s 75kg semi-final. Priya will also be looking to reach the finals when she takes on China’s Yang Chengyu in the women’s 60kg semi-final.

Archery is expected to bring several medal opportunities for India. The composite women’s, mixed and men’s teams will all participate in semi-final matches or medal matches, giving Indian archers more silverware to touch.

India could also fight for a medal at the shooting range. The mixed team trap final was scheduled for a later date, subject to qualification.

The Indian women’s hockey team will then take center stage when they take on South Korea in the semi-finals. A place in the gold medal game will be at stake as the team looks to continue their strong campaign.

Wrestling could add further interest, with Sunil Kumar and Nisha Dahiya potentially in the medal matches if they come through in their respective events.

Apart from the main events, Indian athletes will also compete in cycling, canoe slalom, judo and sport climbing, giving the country several more opportunities to add to its medal tally.
