VVCE is organizing a silver jubilee meet of its first batch graduates in Mysuru

Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru recently hosted a Silver Jubilee Reunion of its first batch (batch 2001) graduates on the theme ‘Guru Vandana – A Tribute to Beloved Teachers’ at the college campus. The occasion brought together nearly 100 graduates and their esteemed teachers to celebrate 25 years since graduation and recognize the mentors who shaped their academic and professional journeys.

Prof. NS Lingegowda, Coordinator VVCE Alumni Association (VVCEAA) highlighted the emotional significance of the reunion and the lasting bond between teachers and students. Vice Principal Shobhashankar gave an overview of VVCE’s growth and highlighted its achievements in NBA and NAAC accreditation, modern infrastructure and student-centric facilities. She also expressed the institution’s aspiration to acquire the status of a private university in the coming years.

P. Vishwanath, Secretary, Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) appreciated the achievements of the institution in terms of academic results, placements and admissions and highlighted the infrastructure developed at VVCE. He urged the alumni to support budding engineers through professional referrals and facilitating recruitment opportunities from reputed companies.

Gundappa Gowda, President, VVS encouraged the alumni to extend support to economically disadvantaged students and introduce scholarship awards to recognize academic rank holders. One of the award-winning teachers described the reunion as a fascinating and humbling journey back to 1997, recalling the first batch as his very first students, classes and institution. Distinguished alumnus Keshav, who traveled from Canada, expressed his admiration for the transformation of VVCE and noted that the batch has left its footprints under the growth of the institution.

The ceremony ended on a note of gratitude, nostalgia and a renewed commitment to strengthening the relationship between VVCE, its faculty and alumni.
