20-year-old kidnapped in broad daylight in Bihar’s Supaul

The 20-year-old was abducted in broad daylight in Bihar’s Supaul district in the Bhimpur police station area on Monday (September 28, 2026). The kidnappers first hit the youth who was riding a motorcycle on the state highway from behind and then forcibly dragged him into the car. A video of the kidnapping has also gone viral on social media.

When the villagers tried to chase the kidnappers, they opened fire on them to create panic. The police recovered a spent shell casing at the scene.

The police identified the abducted youth as Mohammad Zeeshan Khan, a resident of Madhopur Panchayat, Chhatapur police station area.

Mr. Zeeshan was traveling towards Bhimpur on his motorcycle (BR50AD8174) when he was intercepted by criminals waiting there. Shortly after receiving information about the kidnapping, the police arrived at the scene to investigate the case.

The police have not yet released the motive for the young man’s abduction or the number of people involved in the abduction. Police teams are conducting round-the-clock raids to trace the youth. Supaul Superintendent of Police (SP) Sarath RS formed a special team led by Triveniganj Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) to find him and recover him safely.

By posting a video on social media X, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Samrat Choudhary-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Bihar.
