YouTuber Aswanth Kok taken into custody on suspicion of drink driving

Police in Nadakkavu on Monday (September 28, 2026) took YouTuber Aswanth Kok into custody after he allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol and hit three other vehicles.

The incident took place near Eranhipalam where the vehicle he was driving allegedly collided with other vehicles on the road. Residents reportedly stopped the vehicle and alerted the police.

The police arrived at the scene shortly after and took him into custody. He was subsequently subjected to a medical examination to see if he had consumed alcohol while driving.

Police said they would take further action based on the medical report and the results of the accident investigation.
