Sangam Dairy plans to expand to achieve a turnover of ₹2,500 crore

Sangam Dairy Chairman Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar said on Monday (September 28, 2026) that the dairy is focusing on farmer welfare, quality, technology and expansion to achieve a turnover of ₹2,500 crore. Currently, the turnover of milk and milk products is about ₹2,260 crore.

At the 13th annual general meeting of the dairy, Mr. Narendra Kumar said that milk purchase reached 8.70 lakh liters per day, against a high of 10.50 lakh liters last year. Ten more cooling centers and milk collection centers should be established by December.

He said milk collection centers and farmers will be digitally connected, allowing producers to access details of milk collection, fat, SNF (solid non-fat) and milk value through a social app.

The dairy would strengthen preventive veterinary services with a special focus on 570 cattle and an effort to facilitate pregnancy in 320 animals. A 50% subsidy would be provided for free housing.

Farmers would receive 2,500 sets of calves for calves born through sexed semen, targeting more than 2,000 sets this year. Fifty-six people were trained as Pashumithras. The dairy provides a subsidy of ₹ 1 per kg for silage and has so far extended assistance of ₹ 18 lakh.

In Telangana, purchases reached 30,000 liters per day. The capacity of the Miryalaguda plant will be doubled to three million litres. The new 25-acre Naidupeta plant will initially process two million liters per day, which will be commissioned in a year.
