6.32 lakh adults will appear for ULLAS Literacy Assessment in Telangana

A total of 6.32 lakh adult students appeared for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) in Telangana on Sunday 28 September 2026. Of these, 98,324 are members of self-help groups (SHGs) and 720 are street vendors.

For adults aged 15 and over who have missed school

ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society), the New India Literacy Program (NILP), seeks to provide functional literacy to adults aged 15 and above who have missed out on formal schooling. The test was coordinated by the adult education department.

Eligible for Class X through Open School System

Panchayat Raj, Minister for Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare D. Anasuya Seethakka urged women who passed the ULLAS assessment to take the opportunity to continue their education as they are eligible to study Class X through the open school system. With the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) admission process for the academic year 2026-27, aspirants can approach their nearest MeeSeva center or TOSS study center and apply online through the TOSS website.
