More than 45,000 participate in the 13th annual Wipro Bengaluru Marathon

Over 45,000 runners participated in the 13th Wipro Bengaluru Marathon on Sunday, organized by NEB Sports in association with Karnataka Athletics Association, Wipro Bangalore and Shriram Properties.

Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara was present at the function. While Ranjita Ghosh, Global Marketing Director of Wipro Limited finished the full marathon, fitness celebrity Mandira Bedi finished the half marathon. MP Tejasvi Surya flagged off the 10K run.

The participants toured some of Bengaluru’s famous landmarks, including Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park. In the full marathon, Bugatha Srinu won the men’s title while Bhagirathi emerged as the winner in the women’s category.

Ankit Gupta topped the men’s category while Sugandha Sharma finished first in the women’s half marathon category. In the 10K, Lakshmeesha CS and Elina Bhatt took home the men’s and women’s titles.
