BITS Pilani team dominates the Hyderabad NTPC Electron Quiz round

The South Regional Round of NTPC Electron Quiz 2026 was held at the JNTU Auditorium in Kukatpally, Hyderabad on Saturday, bringing together engineering and management students from leading institutions across the region.

The quiz tested participants on their knowledge, analytical skills, presence of mind and awareness of developments in technology, business and management.

The Regional Round was inaugurated by NTPC Managing Director (Engineering) Deepak who urged the participants to approach the competition with curiosity and confidence. Chief Executive Officer (HR) Neeraj Kumar Roy highlighted the role of these platforms in promoting young talent, knowledge sharing and healthy competition.

Atithan V. and Achintya Naik from BITS Pilani secured the first position in the competition. Their institute colleagues R. Shyam Sundar and Sai Sreerama M. finished second while Kritigya Sharma and M. Jain from the Institute of Public Enterprise secured third place.

The top two teams will now advance to the semi-finals to be held in New Delhi, where they will represent the southern region and compete against teams that qualify from other regional rounds.
