
Arsenal defended himself from the deficit of two goals and held on to ensure a 2-2 draw in Anfield against Liverpool after 10 men on Sunday 11th May. Goals by Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino secured a point for men Mikel Arteteta, but at the end they lost Merino on the red card.

They were hosts who dominated the first half, but Arsenal had a chance in the 4th minute when Bukayo jacket grew. Four minutes later, David Raya was called to make a sensational rescue because Luis Diaz was thwarted. Liverpool, however, would take the lead in the 20th minute when Cody Gakpo scored a fine header after the defense of Arsenal turned off from the throw. A minute later, Diaz did 2-0 after a large run.

Arsenal looked released when the first half was coming to an end, but after the break it was revived. As soon as the game was restored, Arsenal was the first to hit when Martinelli headed home from Trossard’s Cross. The slot seemed unfortunate in the touchline because the shooters took control of things. Ibrahim Konate was obliged to clean the shot from the jacket outside the line in the 65th minute, although it was offside forward.
But five minutes later Merino was at hand to equalize the score. Alisson was diverted to Martin Odegaard’s long reach, but the Spaniard was present to head home to intensify the big goal for the game.
Merino was sent nine minutes later after hitting Dominik Szoboszlai, but visitors stick to and even had a chance to win the game late, but Odegaard’s shot went only wide. Liverpool has 83 points out of 36 games with Arsenal in second place with 68. However, the shooters must provide their place in the TOP 5, which is needed to qualify the Champions League with Manchester City, Newcastle United and Chelsea right behind them.
