The Ernakulam Rural Cyber ​​Police has arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly making derogatory remarks on the internet against reformer Sri Narayana Guru and the community in Kerala, police said on Saturday (26 Sep 2026).

KV Subhash, a native of Muvattupuzha and a Tantri of the Nagaraja temple there, was arrested on Saturday (September 26), a day after he was taken into custody. He was booked after receiving a complaint about a YouTube video in which the accused made derogatory remarks earlier this month.

According to the FIR, the accused allegedly tried to insult and defame the dignity and reputation of the guru, the Ezhava community and people associated with Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam through a video posted on YouTube. He was accused of allegedly disturbing public peace and inciting communal hatred.
