Governor Kerala Rajendra Vishwanath Alelekar on Saturday 10th May descended to those who spoke against the Indo-Pak conflict and claimed that it would affect innocent civilians.
“They are the same people who were silent when 26 people were killed, and several of our sisters widow,” he said, urging such situations to change his attitude. The governor was in Kozhikod on Saturday to start the 45th State Convention Vishwa Sanskrit Pratishthanam (Sanskritbharathi), the units of Kerala Sanskrit Bharati.
He said that Sanskrit was the language of this country and, thanks to the spread of language, Sanskritbharathi dealt with evoking someone’s identity. “Language, culture and mythology are part of their identity. One should not forget it,” he added.
Sanskritbharati National Secretary General Satyanand Bharathi delivered the main lecture. State President PK Sankaranarayanan chaired the event.
