Arsenal seems to have taken the main step in their summer reconstruction with reports indicating that shooters have concluded an agreement to sign the long -term goal of Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad. The Spanish midfielder, who was on the radar of several European clubs, is now ready to become the first signature of Mikela Artta before the season 2025/2026.
According to a renowned expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal agreed to launch a 50 million dentimendi edition clause, ending months of speculation. The 26 -year -old also reportedly added a verbal obligation to join the North London Club with a long -term contract now in works.
The Ruketimendi shares increased significantly after the standout campaign in Lalize and its powerful performance for Spain on the Euro 2024. Liverpool and Real Madrid held close cards at the midfielder, but that is Arsenal that quickly secured its signature.
Mikel Artta is known to be the admirer of the Spaniards, and it is expected that his arrival will give the added depth and peace of the center, which he saw several changes this summer. With the future uncertainty of Thomas Partey and Jorginho joined Flamengo, Zubimendi could rank as a central figure next to Declan Rice.
This step was also supported by the new sports director Andrea Berta, and the club considered the transfer as a key part of their summer strategy. Arsenal is said to be planning more reinforcements, with an attacker and wide forward also on their wishes list. However, the club may have to postpone some players to maintain financial flexibility under the Premier League regulations.
If the agreement passed as expected, Zubimendi’s arrival would be considered a significant coup for Arsenal, especially due to the previous efforts of Liverpool to sign it. His decision to leave Sociedad after the refusal of offers last summer seems to be part of a well -calculated move to the Premier League.
