
In connection with reports on threats focused on government institutions, the District Administration decided to strengthen the security arrangements at Kollam civil station.
The district collector N. Devidas issued the necessary instructions to various departments at the meeting of officers at the district level, which was convened to review the arrangements. The meeting also discussed the problems found after the security audit carried out by the Office for Management of Disaster and Solutions.
The restrictions will be implemented without public inconvenience. The police base will be set up before the collector and the departments concerned will carry out a joint inspection to organize other facilities.
The department of public works was entrusted with responsibility for providing aid facility. Fifty -five offices, including the court, work at the civilian station.
Currently, 30 CCTV cameras are installed on the collection, while 20 CCTV cameras operate in the court area. New cameras will be installed to cover the input.
It was ordered to carry out waste disposal in accordance with the instructions and the removal of unused furniture accumulated at various places around the collector first. Clean Kerala Company will be handed over together with electronic waste. Vehicles that have been parked for a long time will also be removed.
The heads of various departments were issued instructions to perform the arrangements according to the report on the fire safety audit made by firefighting and rescue services.
Directives for the installation of a fire extinguishing device and their completion and maintenance were filed in time. It is also forbidden to locate objects in a way that prevents movement in emergency departure.
The meeting was attended by ADM G. Nirmalkumar, Subkolko Nishant Shihara, representatives of collectors, officers at the district level, court employees and more.
