The IPL 2025 season was suspended from 9 May due to the growing military tension in India-Pakistan. After an emergency meeting between BCCI officials and tournament organizers, they led to a decision of security concerns for players, fans and employees. The suspension comes after cross -border shelling and air strikes, including an aborted match between Kings Kings and Delhi, 8 May. BCCI will be waiting for government directives before renewing the game, with international players’ safety also significant consideration.
