Child coach Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Lad, rejected the rumors that the Indian captain left the test cricket in a hurry and because of its salty form in the cricket of the red ball. Lad said that Rohit wanted to focus on winning titles of the International Criket Council (ICC) in the test and a one -day international cricket when he left the T20is after last year’s Barbados World Championship.
Sources today said India that the head of the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar, decided not to hold Rohit Sharma as a test captainAnd that it would be interesting to find out whether Rohit would only be willing to travel to England as a specialized dough.
Hours after development, Rohit announced his departure from the test cricket through the Instagram story, to the surprise of many. At the beginning of this year, Rohit said during a tour of Australia that he did not leave the tests and expressed confidence in the re -form.
Rohit, however, played only one first -class match after the trophy Border -gavascar – turned for Mumbai against Jammu and Kashmir – AA appeared out of shape.
“He decided in a hurry. It’s not that he leaves for his form. He didn’t want to play T20is after the World Championship, but it was his decision to continue with two other formats that he had to think carefully about what was the best for him,” Lad said.
“This decision has nothing to do with the upcoming tour of England. The main idea would be to give the next generation a chance, as well as after the T20 World Championship last year,” he added.
I want Rohit to win the World Cup 2027: Coach
Rohit Sharma fought during the trial season 2024-25 and lasted a long-term abyss in the form. The captain managed only 186 runs in eight tests. During the Border-Gavascar trophy, he went through one of the most beautiful patch of his test career and decided to sit outside the final of the series.
Rohit, however, confirmed that he would continue to play one -day international for India. In his farewell message for Rohit, BCCi also stressed that he would remain part of a one -day arrangement.
At the age of 38, Rohit explained that he was intending to be part of the World Championship in 2027, and his child coach said he should only retire after securing the missing piece in his trophy cabinet. Rohit is trying to become only the second Indian captain after Mrs. Dhoni to win all the three main ICC trophies in a white ball cricket.
“Its goal was the World Test Championship, but unfortunately we did not qualify. Now it is the World Cup 2027. I also want it to win the 2027 World Championship and then retired,” Lad said.
Indian selectors are ready to announce the test group for the upcoming series in England, starting on June 20 before the IPL 2025 finals.
