The story so far: Indian armed forces have been carried out in nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) on Wednesday (May 7, 2025), in retaliation to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam 22 April, which was killed by 25 Indians and not citizens. Bahawalpur (Jaish-E-Mohammad (me) Fortress) and Muridke (Lashkar-E-TABA (years) base) include targeted terrorist sites.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said: “The armed forces performed the Sindoor operation at night between 6 and 7 May between 6 and 7. May at 1.05 in the morning and nine terrorist camps and completely destroyed and completely destroyed and completely destroyed them and completely destroyed them and completely destroyed them in Pakistan They are on the market in Pakistan and completely destroyed terrorist infrastructures such as centers such as centers such as centers such as Sindoor centers between 6 and 7 and 7. and 7.305 and 1.05 in the morning and to the market in Pakistan and completely destroyed the Sindoor operation “.
The Singh Wing Commander added: “Terrorist camps are distributed across Sawai-nala in the north, counting up to 21, ending in Bahawalpur in the south. Selection of Sindoor Operation Operation was based on intelligence reports and the role of these facilities in terrorist activities.”
This is the third such repressive strikes against the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and POD India after surgical strikes in 2016 and in 2019 Balakot Airstrikes. While surgical strikes were in response to the Uri terrorist attack, in which terrorists were killed by 19 soldiers, the Balakot strike was in response to Pulwam attack, which was killed by 40 CRPF workers.
Here’s a view of IAF’s goals and surgical details
Within the POK
Sawai Nala (muzaffarabad): They were trained by the center where terrorists joined the attack on Sonmarg, Gulmarg (October 2024) and Pahalgam (April 2025).
Syedna Bilal (muzaffarabad): Staging area Mem, which also accommodated weapons, explosives and offered training to survive the jungle.
Gulpur (boilers): Basic camp years, 30 km from LOC, which was active in the areas of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu. Terrorists responsible for attacks on pilgrim buses in April 2023 and June 2024 were trained as part of POK.
BARNALA (BHIMBER): Center for Handling of Weapons and Explosives and Training Center for Jungle survival.
Abbas: Located 13 km from LOC, leave terrorists especially Fidayeen (Guerilla Attackers) trained in Abbas. The camp had the ability to train up to 15 terrorists.
In Pakistan
Sarjal (Sialkot): There were terrorists trained here, who killed four J&K police staff in March 2025, located 6 km from the International Border of India-Pakistan.
Mehmoono Joya (Sialkot): This camp is located 12-18 km from the international border, for Hezbul Mujahideen a large base. It was a control center for attacks on Kathhua, Jammu and was a place where the Pathankot Airforce base was planned and directed.
Markaz Taiba (Muridke): This camp at least 18-25 km from the border trained terrorists like Ajmal Kasab and David Headley for terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008. Visuals show that the IAF hit at least four times by missiles.
Markaz Subhanallah (Bahawalpur): Located 100 km from the border, it was the seat of it and served as a recruitment, training and indoctrination camp. The leaders of the best terrorist clothing often visited here.
Visuals depicted by military officials depict buildings present earlier and debris after rocket strokes. On Wednesday (May 7, 2025) no civilian victims were reported in Pakistan.
The strikes were carried out through precise abilities and heads selected as such that there would be no damage, said Singh commander. “None of the military installations of Pakistan was targeting. India was limited in its reaction. However, the Indian armed forces are ready to face any incorrect submission in Pakistan to escalate this situation,” she concluded.
Loitering ammunition, also known as “suicide drones”, were placed specifically in the Sindoor surgery for accurate strikes. These unmanned air vehicles are designed to move through the target area, identify threats and connect them accurately, minimize collateral damage. Unlike traditional missiles, loituring ammunition can wait for the optimal moment to hit. Once they are locked at the target, they hit it and exploded.
At least 10 civilians were killed and more than 30 were injured when Pakistan resorted to fire and shelling along the LOC after Sindoor operation. Houses and shops were damaged in Pakistan’s shelling of Malta in the POONCH, PUPWARA and Baramulla district.
What was the reaction of Pakistan?
Pakistani spokesman for army Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the Indian missile attacks were launched from their own airspace and that all the Pakistani Air Force aircraft was in the air. “Pakistan will respond to this time and place of own selection. This abominable provocation will not be unanswered,” he added.
At the meeting of the National Security Council, Prime Minister Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, allowed the armed forces to apply retaliation to “vengeful loss of Pakistani civilian lives”. It is not clear how many civilians died in Pakistan and Pok for Sindoor surgery.
His spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said that “Pakistan reserves the right to respond appropriately to time and place of his choice, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter and as anchored in international law”.
