A man dies when a two-wheeler crashes into his vehicle

A 38-year-old bank manager of a public sector bank died in Paramasathu village on Friday after the two-wheeler hit the moped he was riding.

Police said the victim, K. Venketa Pratap, a native of Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), worked in a public sector bank in Ranipet town. He was returning home when B. Karthik (33) of Ponnai village lost control of his two-wheeler and hit the moped. In the impact, Pratap sustained injuries while Karthik was unhurt. Pratap died at the Taluk Government Hospital in Sekkadu village near Katpadi.

A case has been registered by the Ponnai police.
