Fans noticed that his hugely popular Champions Trophy 2025 reel featuring Virat Kohli, which crossed 150 million views, was also removed.Arshdeep did not explain the reason behind the move, leading to speculation among fans whether it was a personal reset, a social media clean-up or a rebrand.Despite internet rumours, he has not removed all content related to Punjab Kings and still has PBKS mentioned in his bio. His remaining posts mostly include family pictures, cricket milestones and brand promotions. The social media activity comes after Arshdeep faced several controversies during IPL 2026. Earlier in the season, he was criticized for an alleged racial comment directed at teammate Tilak Varma ahead of Punjab Kings’ match against Mumbai Indians. He reportedly heard him say, “Oye Andher, lagaaya sunscreen?” (“Hey dark, did you put on sunscreen?”), which sparked backlash online.Former India spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan reacted strongly saying, “No one believed me. Everyone mocked and trolled me. Arshdeep should be banned this season and should be paid proportionately. The players today should hit where it hurts the most.”He also added, “If BCCI takes action, I will name the people who racially abused me.”Arshdeep later became embroiled in more controversy after he angrily replied to a fan on Snapchat after Punjab Kings’ defeat against Mumbai Indians. Another viral Snapchat story involving co-star Priyansh Arya also drew criticism. On the field, IPL 2026 was a disappointment for Arshdeep. He managed just 14 wickets in 14 matches and struggled with an economy rate of over 10.
