Adani Group debuts at Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata

The Adani Group, which is exploring an investment plan in West Bengal, has decided to make its debut at the state’s biggest cultural and religious festival — Durga Puja.

Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group announced during his visit to Kolkata on September 24 that his group will build a curated Durga Puja program to celebrate Bengali artists and bring Mao to audiences worldwide.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Enterprises was signed to explore “cultural initiatives associated with Durga Puja and the wider artistic heritage traditions of Bengal.”

“Two meaningful MoUs were signed today. One is related to preservation of heritage and restoration of writers’ buildings and the other is related to Durga Puja. It is a major festival of West Bengal,” Mr. Adhikari said.

Adani Group has launched its official website for Durga Puja Adani Preview (DPAP) 2026.

All Durga Pujas in Kolkata, Bidhannagar and South Dum Dum Municipality area have been invited to register through the official website by 25 September 2026. Each of the eight selected pujas will receive a grant of 25 lakhs from the Adani Group, which includes 10 lakhs will be given to the artist and 15 lakhs will be given to the Puja Committee.

“The first Adani Preview will include eight pujas across Kolkata – a number we hope will grow in the coming years,” the DPAP website said.

Tentative DDPAP dates are 10-12. October from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m

According to DPAP, the preview will facilitate a convenient and hassle-free puja viewing experience for thousands of people who want to avoid the late rush of puja viewing. “This affirms Adani Group’s commitment to the welfare of Bengal,” the website said.

Before the Durga Puja Adani Preview, massArt, a non-profit organization that has been organizing the Durga Puja preview since 2022. This year, massArt will showcase 24 contemporary Durga Puja art.
