
In order to lead normal life by using the rehabilitation policy of the Telelangany for the submitted Maoists, 14 Maoists of various cadres left the forbidden CPI (Maoist) and surrendered in Kothagud, the police said on Tuesday.
From the Chhattisgarh’s Bijapore district, up to 13 submitted Maoists and one of the Charly Mandal in the Bhadradri Kothagud district in Telangana.
The insurgents turned in front of Bhadradri Kothagudema’s superintendent police B. Rohit Raju in the coal town.
Maoists who have given up are two members of the Regional Committee (ACM), four party members, three members of the Militia Revolutionary Folk Committees (RPC), four members of the village committee, and one member of Krantikari Adivasi Mahila Sangathan (Kams).
One of the submitted ACMS, Sodi Budra, 24 years, a native of Thurmel in the Bijapor district, was active in the southern Gadchiroli in Mahara, the police added.
According to the police, permanent efforts of the district police under the program “Operation Cheyutha” and rapid payment of remuneration to the surrendered Maoists led to the initiative when submitting the Maoists.
